Kyle and Danielle's Big OE

It was time to say goodbye to Vietnam. It did not disappoint and we will be coming back again one day. We arrived at the airport in the early afternoon and boarded our flight to Laos. We were once again entering new and unknown territory. Neither Danielle nor myself knew much about the country except that it is poorer than Cambodia with the average person earning below $1500 per year.
We were greeted by the capital of Laos – Vientiane. What an amazing place - we took a Tuk Tuk tour around the city and saw some of the many sights including an arch that rivals the Arc de Triomphe, built to commemorate Laos’s fight for independence against French occupation. It was so hot this day and most people in the tour chose to stay at our hostel and swim in the pool. We managed a quick dip before having to head off again.
