The overnight train in Thailand was different to the ones in Vietnam. The beds were along the sides of the carriage instead of small individual rooms. This made it hard to be social as everyone could hear everything and there wasn’t much room for more than two people. The other downside was that the lights were left on the entire time. Poor Kyle was on the top bunk closest to the light and even though we had our own curtains they did little to keep the light out. It was a poor sleep for most people! We went to a mall in Bangkok after a breakfast at a bakery however everything was closed. We walked around for a while and saw more markets so went to the MBK mall which was HUGE. Lots of people did lots of shopping (not us!).
We 'fruited up' but before we went out for dinner, Sony said his final words to us at the conclusion of the tour. It was very emotional as we had all bonded so well. Kyle and Sony were brought to tears as were most of us when we gave him the tips Meike and I had collected from everyone.
We had a nice dinner out in town wearing our fruit clothes and Papa Fruit (Sony) was in full force. After dinner we went to the famous Khao San road – one of the first sights was a tarantula on a stick, the next was a ladyboy doing Gangnam Style with a middle age mad filming her/him. We got bracelets that said inappropriate things and drank some cocktails, taught Sony the macarena and went to a couple of bars. Was fun but a fairly early night for most of us. Back at the hostel, Freya took all of Max the elders bedding and hid it – was hilarious when he came home drunk a few hours later!
The next morning we said our goodbyes to most people, then got in tuk tuks and made our way to the unicorn themed café. We hired unicorn onesies and ate unicorn inspired food - we had the best time! Was a bit of fun! After that we had to say more goodbyes which was far more emotional than we realised. We had a pretty cruisy afternoon going to Siam Mall. It was HUGE and we got lost more than once. We then checked into our new (amazing) hotel and then had an expensive Pizza Hut meal for

15 Aug -We met up with Freya and Indy from our tour, the next day at the markets. We went back to the hotel and like hard outs we did a workout at the fitness centre – Kyle’s was 20 minutes, Danielle's was 50 minutes. No surprises there. Then Kyle chose this lovely restaurant which had a live band and we met up with the girls again there to enjoy our last meal in Thailand.
