This morning we made our way to the bus station and had an absolute nightmare. No one could tell us where the bus was leaving from with this particular company that we had booked through. It was literally one minute until the bus was meant to leave that I overheard a couple say the company name of our bus, and when I asked them about it, they were going to Prague as well! They had just found out where it was leaving from, so the four of us ran as fast as we could and made it just in time.
We took the bus for a couple of hours and then transferred to a train. It was snowing as we made our way to Prague.
By this time I wasn’t feeling very well – I had a racing heart rate and was struggling to do normal activities without getting light headed. We pushed through and did some walking around the area that we were staying in. It was very cold here too and I at least, felt like I was always cold.
We went to a steel figures museum which was quite a strange thing to do, but it was really interesting. The figures were huge and made out of recycled metal. There were figures from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, to cars, to Marvel figures – was very different but worth it. We walked into the centre of the old town and looked around at the buildings. I was struggling quite a bit so we didn’t do much. The old town square was spectacular though – the architecture was amazing and there were so many people enjoying it all. We also walked along the river a little bit but had to head back as I couldn’t walk much and it was so cold.
That night we had a nice dinner and two different types of gin cocktails at a gin bar down the road from our accommodation. It was nice to do something different and even though it wasn’t cheap, it was a special way to end our time in Prague.
That night, Kyle made the executive decision that we needed to go back to London so that I could see a doctor. We were already going to forfeit some of Italy so that I could go back, but considering my condition was getting worse and involved my heart, we needed to get seen sooner. Kyle called Leon and asked if we could arrive the next day – luckily that was ok!
