Our Great Canadian Road Trip Adventure - Summer 2017

We finally drove across the border into the beautiful province of British Columbia, on July 7th, on our way to Kelowna.

Kelowna was super fun and so relaxing… No tent!! We were graciously hosted for two days Chez Angie, my cousin on my dad’s side. We had originally planned on meeting them at Shuswap Provincial Park with "Mon Oncle Claude" (a.k.a. Uncle Stretch) and "Ma Tante Sylvette", but, with the extreme heat and the wild fires that kept popping up in the area, we were grateful for the change in plans.

Kelowna, British Columbia

We finally drove across the border into the beautiful province of British Columbia, on July 7th, on our way to Kelowna.

Kelowna was super fun and so relaxing… No tent!! We were graciously hosted for two days Chez Angie, my cousin on my dad’s side. We had originally planned on meeting them at Shuswap Provincial Park with "Mon Oncle Claude" (a.k.a. Uncle Stretch) and "Ma Tante Sylvette", but, with the extreme heat and the wild fires that kept popping up in the area, we were grateful for the change in plans.

We toured around in my uncle’s RV and explored the beautiful suspension bridge resort in the hills. We also visited the beachy downtown area, home of the lake monster, Ogopogo, and indulged in some delicious fresh ice cream.

We relaxed in Angie and Scott’s beautiful hillside home, while their little ones, Maverick (4 years) and Georgia (21 months), provided fun entertainment. They became very fond of our dog Chip who was a good sport and let them feed him by hand. We also hung out at Uncle Stretch’s farm, where we had a yummy BBQ, and watched the kids and animals play. We wanted to stay longer but were anxious to get to Vancouver, then finally to the island to see my sister Trish and her daughter Keani… So back on the road we went!
