Our Great Canadian Road Trip Adventure - Summer 2017

On some days in Duncan, we were on our own when Trish was working and Keani was busy with friends. Sometimes, we spent the day just chilling out at the house reading, or watching Netflix. Other times we found something interesting to do in the area. On this day, Sadie, Brie, and I decided to check out the little outdoor museum around the corner, the BC Forest Discovery Centre!

This was a very cute rendition of a logging village, complete with a railway and train. We climbed a tower to learn how they watched for forest fires over 100 years ago. We took the train to tour the village and stopped to see a bald eagle’s nest up in the trees. We explored an old school house and couldn’t resist the crayons and chalk! While we were visiting the logger houses, we saw a deer eating foliage behind the buildings. It was a fun visit that entertained us on an otherwise lazy day.
