Temple Square

We hung out with the Mormons today.

Before we started our day, we had a massive charging party: two iPhones, a Kindle, Selina's power wheelchair battery and two laptops.

When we got to the Mormon temple, we came across two separate wedding parties. You are not allowed into the temple if you aren't Mormon, so I have no idea how that got worked out. Maybe there is enough room in there for simultaneous ceremonies.

We did a little genealogy in their Family History Library. We enjoyed an organ recital inside The Tabernacle. We ran into a statue of Big Jesus in the visitor's center. Selina and I agree we prefer Baltimore's Big Jesus at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

The visitor's center had a great ramp from the first to the second floor. It was designed so everyone used it. Based on the number of strollers we saw today, I think that was what is was designed for. But it worked just fine for us too.

This afternoon, I discovered that The Book of Mormon, of all things, is playing in Salt Lake right now. We thought about going. We've seen it twice. But it would be a real hoot to see it here. It was up to Selina. She did her version of "flipping a coin." She raised the leg rests on her wheelchair. She decided that if she had low tone in her leg, we would not go. High tone meant we would. Low tone it was, so we stayed in.
