John and Selina's Drive Across Country
It is about a 90 minute drive from Kanab, Utah to the North Rim. The drive was beautiful, through desert and eventually ascending to more than 8,000 feet. There were dramatic changes in vegetation, from sagebrush to evergreens. Then we got to the north rim.

It is about a 90 minute drive from Kanab, Utah to the North Rim. The drive was beautiful, through desert and eventually ascending to more than 8,000 feet. There were dramatic changes in vegetation, from sagebrush to evergreens. Then we got to the north rim.
It turns out Kanab has been home for a number of TV and movie westerns over the years. They have signs all over town about the actors who have worked here.
In other Grand Canyon news, we saw these bison as we were driving in. It felt like they were on the clock, kind of like Ralph and Sam in the old Warner Brothers cartoons.
