Our second full day in Yellowstone. Covering the west side yesterday left us with going east toward the bison bearing Hayden Valley. Canyon village was another rewarding stop. Breathtaking and nightmare inspiring, we did not let the children leave our grip. The river below was at least 200 feet straight down rocky jagged cliffs. One point in the middle of the canyon looked like an upside down cone with a large osprey in a well-made nest right at the top. Another hike to the Artist Point gave views of the canyon and its upper falls. After a full day out, Lydia got her Buffalo Junior Ranger badge and we enjoyed the rest of the night at camp.
