The Shoshone Falls were our main destination. The view did live up to its reputation and the nearby lake turned into a lifeguarded wading pool would have made the perfect afternoon swim if it hadn’t of been for the thunder and lightning rolling in. We opted for shopping and dinner at Chili’s with our friends to end the evening. Unfortunately, the lightning brought large gusts of wind which modified our awning into an unusable and incomplete collection of fabric and metal. Good thing we don’t really need the awning! We were thankful that we were there when it happened to prevent further damage.
