Drive, drive, drive. Auburn, Reno, Winnemucca, Elko, Jackpot, Twin Falls, Eden. Getting to visit my grandpa in his new house in Reno was a special treat and the kids loved his candy jar. Finding the Starbucks every long step of the way made the rides more enjoyable. By far the most spectacular sight happened once we were in Idaho. Thunderstorm clouds many miles off produced slanted streaks of gray and black while every once in a while we caught a glimpse of the forked lightning strikes. We found the house in the middle of the fields in Eden where Clay’s parents live and we popped up our tent trailer for an uneventful night of sleep.
