Danube and Rhine Rivers Cruise

Our second to last shore excursion took us today to the world UNESCO Heritage site in the town of Bruhl that consisted of a hunting lodge and a Prince-bishop Palace. The hunting lodge was very exotic for a hunting cabin. But what else can one expect for royalty. One of the favourites here was falcon hunting. We then drove to the palace about 10 minutes from the lodge. This palace sure was ornate. It is called the Augustus Palace. A very "egoistic" individual he was.
Earlier in the morning Maureen & I went for a long walk...two hours!.

Earlier in the morning Maureen & I went for a long walk...two hours!.

I wanted to take photos of the majestic church in Cologne. RATS! I was taking a photo of the river palisade when the camera died on me! Dead battery, and I forgot to bring a spare. Too bad! Anyway we both walked around for a bit, had a coffee and did see this huge church. We then walked back to the boat for the tour I mentioned at the beginning of this day's journal.
In the evening we spent some time getting ourselves organized for our return home Friday.
