For years we traveled on I-95 in Florida and passed right by the Kennedy Space Center. We never stopped because rockets didn't interest us much. Wow, we had no idea what we were missing!
The Center is a modern, clean complex packed with information on America's space history and future. The attractions rival Disney for quality, only here they are very real, e.g., the shuttle launch in the Atlantis exhibit hall simulates a takeoff into space at 25,000 mph. All exhibits are well done and contain actual equipment used in past space launches, like the Saturn rockets, the moon rover, the lunar landing craft used in Apollo 11 and much more. A bus shuttle moves visitors to all key sites, including launch sites and past buildings where future space adventures are being planned. There are even real moon rocks to touch. The two IMAX theaters give a nice representation of US space achievements from the

60's to today. This is not a boring museum tour. It's all done professionally and definitely not to be missed if you're ever on the east coast of Florida.
