South-east Asia: An Adventure

On our way to the city for the third time, we experienced the first transport breakdown of our trip. We were quite impressed with the bus driver and his assistant, who both stripped themselves of their formal work shirts and immediately jumped in under the bus and started the repairs. Being a decent mechanic must obviously be part of the job requirements! At least the delay wasn't too long.

We had never intended to spend another night in the capital, but seeing as we arrived so late in the afternoon there, we opted to stay at a hostel with a swimming pool. The pool was a very welcome treat after the tiring bus trip, and we spent hours swimming and reading our books. That evening we had some beers at the river promenade and then had supper on the street. It was actually nice to see the capital for one last visit.
