Day 5
Action packed day! Laundry done while we ate breakfast at our hotel. Headed to downtown New Orleans (10 miles South) at 10 am to walk around a bit before our Creole Queen Paddlewheeler Boat Ride on the great Mississippi River. We took the 2 1/2 hour Historical Cruise that took us to the site of the 1815 Battle of New Orleans in Chalmette. It was a beautiful day out. We actually both got a little sun on our faces. So Larry actually tried some of my Louisiana Creole Jambalaya on the ship. The jury is still out on that one.

After we got back into port we headed down to the all famous French Quarter which in itself is a site to behold. Bourbon Street was alive and full of entertainment at every turn. I think Larry was in shock! We returned back to our room at 8:30 pm ready for bed. This is the first night he beat me to bed.
