Day 18
We left Kannapolis, NC at 10 am and headed for Quantico Marine Corp Base, VA for a couple of nights. We stayed behind the big storm that was moving up the East Coast so driving was ok. We stopped at Friendlys for dinner today and Larry would not let me have my Happy Ending Sundae before my meal. I explained the Friendlys regulation that my friend, Lynne and I followed to the T every time we ate a meal there. You are suppose to have your sundae first, so you don't overeat your meal and not have room for it. Hopefully, next time he'll follow the rules.

We got to our awesome room at the Base and settled in. Larry decided to take me to the movies and see "Cinderella". Our sister, Laurie told him that he needed to do this on the trip. Thank you Brother! The movie was great and so was the company! And oh, it's 39 degrees here and Larry wants to head back to the Keys!!!! He wants the 88 degrees back. I told him it's almost time to head back home. We decided we are going to take 2 weeks next April to drive from OK to TN and go to the Bristol Speedway for a race. Then work our way back home. Tomorrow we are meeting another one of Larry's friends, Ronnie James from school.
