Finally we got some travel insurance. And our return ticket via Singapore, plus our ferry ticket to Cherbourg , France. We are now all good to go!
Samedi 20 Fev.
We were 3 hours late leaving the house while we finished cleaning up. But finally we locked the spare room, and closed the front door behind us for the last time in 10 months. One last farewell to Elsie and off on our périple.
First stop - Orvieto café for a free long black coffee. After that it was all dowhill with a following wind to Sally's brother's house. The sky was blue, the sun a tad cooler than recently, and a slight breeze to keep us cool.
What a way to start the trip. Europe here we come.

A final farewell at Robert's house with a bbq on Sunday evening. Lots of friends and rellies. Today was our first day in 3 weeks not working on the house. Loved it!

Just completed our last minute formalities and spent the day cycling all over Auckland to get everything done. This afternoon we will wash the bikes and pack them in their boxes.
