Part 2 - Melbourne, into the Ash.

The next adventure began in luxury as I flew from Perth to Melbourne I was upgraded to Business Class, with Sue as my Air Hostess! A film (Ad Astra) and some lovely asian food with amazing flavours, and sparkling wine, chardonnay and a liqueur, no wonder I look asleep in the photo! It was a sunny evening when I arrived and the night sky was beautiful but the following day the smoke from the awful bushfires north east of here settled on the city to make it the

worst air quality in the world at one point, and even the thunderstorms next day were not enough to completely clear it, so still grey. The first 2 photos are sunset on day 1 and sunrise on day 2. What a contrast to and what a contrast to the blue sky's of Perth!

My first trip out was to the lanes and to see some of the artwork there and of course go for coffee! The artwork on the walls was amazing, including a picture of a koala holding a fire hose as a tribute to the firefighters.
