In searing temperatures there is only 1 thing you need - an umbrella! As the temperature tops 40° we had a quick visit to the largest metropolitan park in Australia if not the world. Botanical gardens have areas of natural habitats for all the Australian plants and trees. The large bare tree is a Boab, important to the indigenous people of Australia which was actually moved here on a wagon! Perth is set where the two rivers the Swan and the Canning meet. After a rest in the afternoon there was time for a quick swim at a Cottosloe!
