Chris and Katie bought 2.5 acres in Toodyay on the way to Northam, where Katie grew up. They built a modern home with brick walls and a special metal roof, that looks amazing. They sit in the middle of the plot and are planting fruit and nut trees to use some of their space. They've got chickens in a run too. Toodyay is really old and got big when convicts were brought to build it and misbehaved and a large jail was needed, this sounds familiar. Then one former convict did good and built a flour mill which then got converted into a power station. The little town is very quaint and there is a visitor centre for tours round the mill. It has a coca cola museum in a cafe too!
