As I leave for home today, I must say this has been an adventure with some good times and some bad news. The bushfires, so terrible this year, the loss of life, the firemen in particular, and homes and millions of wildlife is showing the terrible impact of climate change on this beautiful country. The smoke I breathed along with millions of others, the fear of the new terrible virus spreading around the world, from China, which scientists are working on all made this scarier than I thought. However meeting family in Perth and Melbourne and seeing how glorious this place is has been great. The final bit of good news is the new family that has just arrived; Ruby Mae Sharples safely delivered on 28th January to Katie and Chris Sharples, what good news to conclude with! Time to go home to my family now, really missed them and can't wait to see them all again.

Alex came to pick me up after my 23 hour trip, it is now 1st February 6.30am and it is so good to be home!
