AUSTRALIA

Another walk in Fremantle on 27th down to the Fishing Boat Harbour where defences were set up by the soldiers. Convicts were used to build the port up, and the turret has jail cells inside and all the rules. Most were there overnight for being drunk! The buildings are lovely with quirky bookshops and coffee bars. It's also a great place for fish and chips! Next was a walk in South Perth along the river with sculptures by the ferry terminal to Perth on 28th. On the 29th I explored on my own getting the train and then a free bus to Kings Park on the 30th. Then on New years Eve an early walk along the river opposite Mount Pleasant where Sue and Nick live.
