After spending a refreshing night with no A/C or fans we headed downstairs and had a wonderful homemade breakfast. Then hopped on our bus, went back to the airport and picked up our luxury car. It was a small, cute mode of transportation that didn't have A/C. They even put the steering wheel on the opposite side to confuse us. Troy booked an automatic, but they were going to give us a manual. NOT!
We had fun driving on the opposite side of the road through the countryside to Galway which is located on the west side and took us a few hours. Maybe more if you count all the stops I made Troy take. Every view was prettier. Then there were cows, sheep, stone walls, churches, flowers, graveyards, and winding roads. We had to take pictures of them all! Some of the roads were so skinny there was no way two vehicles

could pass each other. It was difficult for me to be a silent passenger.
As soon as we started our road trip we flipped through radio stations. Our trip was extra special when we found a station called SPIRIT. We hadn't heard Christian music played on a station for almost 6 months and that was a blessing to us. When we lost that station we rocked out to "Galway Girl" played on a local station. We had to stop only once to pick up a hub cap that just happened to fall off. Oops! I wasn't sure if we would have paint on my side of the car with all the branches we hit, Forget about the side mirror.
The stretch of road we were heading for was called Wild Atlantic Way and it did not disappoint. It was scenic, skinny and breathtaking in a good and bad way. I can't believe they allow large tours buses on this road or even in this country.
This road led us to The Cliffs of Moher. These cliffs rise 120 meters above the Atlantic Ocean and are the most visited tourist attraction in Ireland. These are definitely a must see if you visit Ireland.
After spending some time at the cliffs we took some back roads to Galway and our place for the night. It was a change of scenery and quite secluded. When we arrived at the College Crest B&B we grabbed our umbrellas. It was raining so while we walked to Quay street for supper. The place was filled with bars, Irish music, shops and was a fun place to people watch. Our room did not have A/C again, but it cooled down nicely with the rain and we slept good.
