Over the last few weeks we received many calls and texts from back home.
On May 13th my father, Dan had an episode very much like a stroke. He couldn't walk or swallow and had slurred speech for a few days. All tests came back negative and he was able to come home on the 17th and he is doing fine.
On May 17th our daughter, Hannah informed us that Lincoln was getting many inches of rain over the week and our sump pump was shorting out. Dustin was able to replace it and we had no water damage. Their pooches wanted to go downstairs to help, but the gate kept them in prison. Thank you Hannah and Dustin for taking good care of our home.
On May 20th Troy's father, Delmar drove himself to the hospital with abdomen pain. After having his gall bladder removed, he was also able to return home. His twin brother, Darrell was in town visiting and it is too bad they were not able to get photo's of the 3 sets of twins in the family.
On May 23rd my brother in law, David was taken to the hospital. He has been battling Multiple Melanoma for over 6 years. He had an irregular heart beat and they were going to shock him to get it back to normal. They tried twice and it did not work. He ended up with some medications and they tried it a third time a few days later and it worked. David, you are a trooper!!
The last update is a picture of our grandson, Tanner. He was excited to finally put the equipment on and play catcher on his baseball team. I heard that he tags everyone when they came over the plate.....even when he didn't have the ball.
It is times like these when it is most difficult to be away from family.
