My diary

Game day 3
We had the morning off today and it was a good time to get the washing done. Luckily all the fabric is quick dry. A bit stingy though they wanted Heinrich to pay 8 Euros a wash. Rip off merchants.
I walked/ran up to the top of the hill. I think it probably is around 6 kms as it took around and hour. Very relaxing and good for the brain to tick over. Bloody unfit though!
After lunch we drove back to Elversberg to play games against some more local clubs. The big boys went to another venue and played a curtain raiser on a newly laid field (used to be clay) and they won it 4-1. The team they played were winners of the Regional Champions from last season. Essentially Saarland is a State so our school defeated a State champion club. The crowd was very appreciative of how well they played and many young boys came up to them after the game and said how good it was. There was a scout from Kaiserslautern and he identified Charlie Miller and Jackson Courtney to come for trials. He said that he just came back from 15/16 Nationals and Charlie would be in National Squad if he was German.
Upon the return our hotel we settled into watch the Matildas but first we watch Portugal dismantle Germany 5-0 in the Euro 21's. There was a full bar at the start of the game and an empty one by half time. No loyalty!
Anyway the Matildas were disappointing and we all went to bed sometime after midnight.
