Perth to Darwin

The Lake Argyle Caravan park had a great view of Lake Argyle. Lake Argyle is the biggest manmade lake in Australia; about 70km long and 40km wide. We had a morning boat ride on Lake Argyle and we saw rock wallabies, archer fish (they squirt water at their prey to make in fall in the water), fresh water crocs and a jabaroo bird nesting on an island rock. We even stopped to have a swim in the lake. Dad climbed up a little rocky cliff to jump into the water. There was an infinity pool at the caravan park, that looked out over the lake, but the water was so cold! On the way back to Kununurra, we stopped on the dam wall. It is amazing that there is no concrete on that wall; it is just the weight of the rocks that keep it in place.
