Perth to Darwin

Wangi Falls had two waterfalls running into the pool area. I swam out to both with dad. The right hand one was powerful and cold. It pushed you away when you got anywhere near it. The one on the left was warmer. Its water came out of the mountain instead of over it. There was a little pool almost to the bottom of this waterfall. We climbed in with dad. That little pool was surprisingly deep – I couldn’t touch the bottom! There were 135 steps down to a different waterfall. When we got to the bottom there were a lot of people already there. The water was quite cold and it was difficult getting over big slippery rocks to get in. Dad, Mr B. and I swam out to the waterfall. Dad climbed up to a ledge and jumped in. Mum and Mali just waded in the shallow rock pools. Another waterfall was called Florence Falls. The path to this waterfall was under construction, so we decided not to go here. Berry Springs had the warmest water yet. There was a little waterfall that you could go underneath! Then we swam downstream over loads of rocks to the pool area. That was deep! We jumped in from the ladder area, and then headed back to the waterfall to Granddad and Grandma.
