In Darwin there was a lot to do. You can’t swim in the ocean in Darwin because of jellyfish, crocs and sharks, so they have made a fantastic area by the foreshore. We went to their wave pool twice. The waves were big and fast! We went to the Territory Wildlife Park and watched the bird show. There were eagles, falcons, kites, owls – all sorts of wild birds. There was one bird that used a rock to crack open eggs to eat! We went to our first AFL footie game in Darwin. It was the Fremantle Dockers vs the Melbourne Demons. We were going for the Dockers, but they played terribly. They lost by about 30 points! I walked from our caravan park to the aviation museum one morning, with Granddad and dad. There were losts of WWII planes on display. One night we went to the Mindle Beach markets. We had dinner there and watched the sunset. We stayed one night in Kakadu National Park. We did a boat tour early the next morning and saw archer fish, heaps of birds and some salt water crocodiles.
