Perth to Darwin

On Thursday afternoon we got to Coral Bay. We set up our camp site and then we explored. We stayed at Bayview Caravan Park, which was good for kids because it had a huge bouncy pillow and two playgrounds (one for big kids and one for little kids).
On Friday morning, dad took us to the beach to swim and snorkel, but it was really cold. We fed some fish from the beach in the afternoon. They were Snapper and one Parrot fish. The Snapper were about as big as a ruler and they swam through our legs. After that we walked along the beach to find a cave that dad remembered. It was a LONG walk! Finally we got to it and climbed in. We sat for a few minutes and then started the LONG walk home along the road.
On Saturday morning Dad took Mali, me and Grandma on the Sub-Sea explorer to see fish and coral. The coral didn’t have a lot of color. In the afternoon we went on an ATV Bike tour. Mum drove one with Mali on the back and Dad drove the other with me on the back. We drove over sandy tracks and even down two sand dunes! We stopped at a cliff and saw two turtles swimming. Then we put on wet suits and swam at the Five Fingers Reef.
On Sunday Dad and I went on a Manta Ray Snorkling trip. We saw manta rays, a tiger shark, lots of fish, turtles, humpback dolphins, bottle-nose dolphins, a dugong and lots of coral. We also saw a humungous school of tiny fish, called a fish frenzy, and we swam in among them! Meanwhile, mum and Mali played on the beach and the playground. We spent some souvenir money that afternoon; Mali bought a cool cup with a straw that wrapped around the outside of it. I bought a toy dolphin with sparkly eyes.
