Irwin Trip 2015

Sadly, there were no sightings of the Loch Ness Monster. Hugh, our guide, shared that the most reliable sightings described what looked like an overturned rowboat. On the other hand, the descriptions that involve a long-necked dinosaur-type creature were generally made by people who had just left a pub so...somewhat less reliable.

Based on the upside down rowboat look, Hugh presented a theory that Nessie is actually some sort of gigantic sturgeon. This is less exciting than the monster version, so I think I'll stick with the description provided by the post-pub folks. Drunks have never steered me wrong. Anyway, we did see the ruins of Urquhart Castle.
