Highlights:
Tully Combat Training Centre:
We went to the gorge, which happened to a disappointment, cause the road stopped all of a sudden and you couldn't really see anything!
On the way was the Training Centre. - training. Gerard said he wouldn't recommend it! Locals were advised that they may hear loud noises!

Tully Sugar Mill:
Went on the Twilight tour, which meant we got to see the mill with all the lights and over the town- very pretty. It was a very interesting tour.Had to wear helmets, safety vests and goggles. We were even rained on by sugar going up the conveyor belt. Yuck!!!

The Big Gumboot:
In town they have a giant gumboot showing their big flood levels. Apparently the water went to the top- 7.9 metres. There is a spiral staircase inside the boot allowing you to climb to the top- Nice view!

Birds Nests:
In the town park were 2 trees full of birds nests-hundreds of birds were flying back and forth to their nest while we were over at the tap filling up with water. Amazing!

Mission Beach:
With all the talk in the media (plans to build a huge resort by some Asian company) about this place, we decided to visit. The water was absolutely pristine- beautiful with the island 9Dunk Island) in the background.
