Decided to stay on the high side of the river as we had more shade and psychologically more of a breeze!!!
Highlights:
Flying fish:
Now I know why they call them a 'school' of fish. There were about 10 tiny fish (approx 15 long) flying across the river in two perfect rows. Pity I couldn't catch a photo of that! Some men were cathcing them with a throw net for 'bait' Don't know how legal that was!
The thirsty Kookaburra:
We stopped at the Kiosk at the HeritageVillage (we had been through this on another visit north) and I walked past what I thought was a statue of a Kookaburra. It moved and I nearly fell on the ground!!! We sat down to have our drink when the bird jumped into the freshly filled bird bath! Amazing!!!
