What a beautiful spot! However, think o9f an 'L' the lines are the railway lines for the Cane trains. We were in the corner of that 'L'

They were still travelling on those rails till about midnight, going back and forth to the mill.

Highlights:
The Bird life: I was minding my own business sitting at the picnic table, cutting out hexagons, when all of a sudden I got a visit from another bird. First it sat on the seat opposite and peaked over the top of the table at me, then it decided to join me on the table- Sticky beak!!! We put out some water for the other baby birds. They tried to take the cracker out of my hand!

We saw mother and father birds overseeing their 2 young. That poor mother bird- from sun up to sun set she follows the baby at a distance the whole day as the baby wanders around the field here there and everywhere!

Eungella National Park:
We drove up the steep mountain- just like Macquarie pass, to the platypus viewing platforms at the National Park headquarters. Sadly there was this extremely noisy family that obviously didn't read the signs - BE QUIET!!! Platypus are extremely shy animals! Anyway we got to the the under bridge viewing platform and there was one frolicking in the water. Oh Yah Lovely!!!

The Turtles: There were heaps of them in the water. Tow babies were sunning themselves on the rocks- thankfully they're not shy otherwise those noisy people would have scared them off as well.!!!
