Aotearoa

From Dunedin, we headed south along the coast to Nugget's Point, where we saw fur seals, basking on the rocks, during our walk to the lighthouse on the headland... Gorgeous views similar to the 12 apostles on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. The wind was extreme and exhilarating. Afterwards, we stopped at Kaka Point for leek and potato soup to us warm up, then headed off to Te Anau - beautiful scenery with green rolling hills very similar to England. Arrived at our Lakeside Motel on lake Te Anau and went for a walk into town, where Olja bought some nice walking shoes and Michael bought an excellent Hill's Original Oilskin Hat (to be worn continuously thereafter), followed by the obligatory fish and chips for dinner... not too bad but still less than satisfying. The Montana was still excellent though!
