Humanities can help me understand and become more successful in my future as well as in my creative field by providing me with a better perspective of the world. In the articles, I read it mentioned over and over that one of the benefits of studying Humanities is its ability to provide you with a global perspective.

I truly think this is already happening in my life. I have been out of the country five times in my life and have seen different and diverse cultures. I do think that studying aboard in Paris is providing me with a greater understanding of humanities.

This not only helps me in life but will also help my future career. I am wanting to pursue a degree in Fashion Design and would like to eventually live in Paris to attend design school. This will not only give me a better understanding of Paris and the culture but also a better understanding of the secular world with Fashion. Living in Paris now has already helped me find more clarity regarding my future as well as giving me a more tangible perspective to take back with me to the states. I think that is the main role France has been playing in my life so far.

I am looking forward to more revelations and new perspectives to come during my time here in France!
