Kutaisi - Georgia

Temo was waiting after breakfast to take us to Kutaisi, the next destination on our map. And Baby Einstein managed to successfully loose her phone (again). After a tiring session of phone search we saw it was safely kept in the hand luggage. Eeeeeeeeek.....

The drive to Kutaisi was longer than expected. It was snowing lightly on the way. While passing Mtskheta we saw a glimpse of Jvari

Monastery all covered up in a snow. We were expecting to see Upslitsikhe as we were passing Gori. But unfortunately that was away from the main road. On the way we could see so many shops selling a round bread and Booboo wanted to know if it was Kachapuri. And Temo was so nice to stop the car and buy us one of those. Apparently it is called Nazukhemi, a sweet bread.
Temo also stopped in small market which sold Georgian souvenirs made out of clay. Towards Kutaisi the snowing has stopped but it was drizzling slightly. The skies were gloomy. Later we stopped at a service station for a coffee break. For the first time there was enough snow for Baby to make a snowball. A set of tourists were having a snow fight outside.
After a long drive finally we arrived at our destination, Hotel Ponte. Marika's Hotel Ponte, which is a beautiful hotel made in Italian style. Check in formalities were completed by Lasha. Since our tummies were grumbling by then, we went out to have lunch to a restaurant

recommended by Lasha. And whoaaahh the food served was simply amazing. Baby was thrilled with the wine marinated poke topped with loads and loads of semi melted cheese.

For dinner we wanted to go to Palaty restaurant as they were to have a live band playing. But we got lost on the way and Baby was freaking out since the roads were dark and in every corner there were people smoking who looked a lot like muggers. So we decided to go back to the same restaurant where we had lunch. There was a band playing jazzy music. It was a full house but we managed to get a table. Booboo and baby enjoyed the dinner and walked hand in hand back to the hotel.
