After breakfast we were off to the Gudauri Ski Resort. Gudauri's steep slopes are home to more advance and professional skiers. Even the cable cart takes you to three different mountains in three stages. We managed to catch a Gondola which goes half way up the mountain.

After some nice time spent at the Gudauri Ski resort we were off to Khazbegi. And on the way... there it was, the beautiful Russian Georgian Friendship monument also know as the peace monument standing bright and colorful on top of a mountain covered with sparkling white snow. Baby was so very disappointed when the driver decided and said that Baby will not be able to climb the hill with the fractured ankle. But after seeing the place Baby felt confident that we could make it on top and so we did. It was a slow and steady walk up the steep snowy rock. It's an amazing feeling when the images you saw on Google are standing right in front of your eyes. A feeling only a traveler would know. After a few moments of bliss we went down to the vehicle and took off to Khazbegi.
It was a beautiful drive through snow topped tunnels and mountains, clear blue skies and everything was just beautiful. We went up to Gergeti Trinity Church. The church looks like a tiny dot from far below. After spending some time in Khazbegi we came back to the hotel.
The next day we decided to have dip in the hot water pool that the hotel had. It was a nice experience. The pool room was covered with glass and outside you could see the snow mountains and river aragvi once again flowing beautifully across the snow valley.
