Chamali Akka

One of the first cousins I met since 5 years was Chamali akka. She was one of my best friends when I was little and I remember that I used to call her "Chali" akka!

She was a bridesmaid at the second wedding we went to and she looked very pretty and fancy. When I first saw her her face illuminated with a bright smile. Her hair is as black as midnight and rather curly. Her eyes were stars shining everywhere she goes. her long legs were like spaghetti dangling in her sandals. She was a lot like myself, enjoying the outdoors and baking homemade and gourmet cakes.

The next day she introduced me to Dana (I didn't remember her a single bit!) and we played this game called gahanu pirimi mal palathuru (or in English girl boy fruit flower). The game was a bit hard for me because when I play it in New Zealand we do it in English but over there we do it in Sinhala. The game was me versus Chamali akka. Although it was a little bit hard for me whenever I got stuck Dana kept giving me ideas on what I could write. From then on we all played girl boy fruit flower whenever we had time to play it.

Chamali akka was one of my most favorite cousin that I have ever met since I was a baby and I am sure she will never ever come of that list.
