My adventures through the world

After I attended The PIKNIC ÉLECTRONIK festival, I headed back to my hotel. That really was a long drive, I think to myself. This hotel has comfy beds. I rest on my bed and go to sleep. The next day, I prepare my backpack for an expedition through the Jasper National Park in Alberta. That’s pretty far for a walk. So I took a travelers bus (taxi's way to expensive) and pay $150 compared to the taxi cost which is $2, 866.21. That’s a lot so I chose the cheap old country bus. We made pit stops for gas. I met a lot of locals when heading my way. They talk about the food, tradition, and just the beautiful scenery of the mountains and forest. Doesn't get any better than this, I say. It's about a 3 day long trip to get to Alberta. So we made quite a few stops one place we visited was The Cravings Restaurant. It was delicious, I swear all their food there is homemade no frozen crap or precooked. They served everything from burgers, brisket, bacon waffles on top with beef. But they also had something traditional like Poutine, Montreal smoked meat sandwich, Pea meal bacon sandwich, Nanaimo bar (quadruple chocolate), and tourtière or meat pie. After we went there we stayed at a little hotel called Days Inn Portage La Prairie. It only cost $66 for each person. Pretty cheap and also nice looking. In the morning I finally got dropped off in Alberta. Let me tell you it is nothing like the pictures. The place is beautiful and real. I walk up the Jasper Nation park center. I walk in and ask if we pay a fee. They say yes it’s cheap about $10 just to see the whole park. Exactly 10,000 kilometers of it. But if you want tours and season passes then it’s around $100 for a group. So I walk to the back and I am introduced by a Mountain goat. Now you know how goats are with their horns and all. So I take of running. Bad idea; that goat rammed me right in the back and I got flipped. Then the goat chases me through the mountain known as "Goat lick" or Mount Kerkeslin because that’s where goats are prone to live. I jumped down into another trail until it doesn't chase me no more. I look around. I am stunned at the most beautiful mountain view in my life. I just sit there for about an hour, then I moved on. This park is home to lots of animals protected because the ecosystem relies on them. They also protect the different plant species and trees. You can camp in the area but guides do tell be advised for bears and coyotes. They eat human food and trash. When I was walking on the trail, I heard a sound. Then I turned my head, it’s a cute little Mule deer. It’s the most common close to the Moose. He saw me then looked at my camera and ran off. I took as many pictures as I could. I ran after it and sheer enough I was surrounded by Mule deer. This is why they always use the cute ones. They all get closer and closer until a finally one charges, I crawl over it and push its behind. It stomps and tries again. This time it hits me in the chest. I feel slight pain because I have my fishers vest. I grab my stuff and run as fast as I can to the Jasper center. It’s about 7:00 at night before I am out of breathe. I hear different noises now. It’s the coyotes. Crap!!! My pack was open. I haul my butt to the center as fast as possible. Its 9:30. The park closes at 5:00pm. I jump across the wooden fence and then jump the bob wire one. By the time I get a taxi its 2:00 in the morning. I sleep in the taxi. The Arab dude in the taxi actually carried me to my hotel. He told the front desk lady I had a rough day, due to cuts all over my clothes. He gave me a free ride. People in this country are nice and friendly. I sleep on my bed like a baby. No shower by the way!!
