Semester in Ecuador: Quito & The Galapagos Islands

Weather: Cloudy, very humid

Today around 11am Sara and I headed out on the town to take pictures. I realized I haven't had a tourist day yet and I thought it was necessary to take some pictures of where I am living for three months. We spent about 2 hours walking along the boardwalk and over to campus. It was a perfect day to take pictures because virtually no one is around since it's a Sunday. Most stores are closed and I think Sunday is the day that new wave of tourists come in (but not til late afternoon). We got some good pictures so we decided to call it a day around 1/1:30 since it was really hot out. We had some lunch which consisted of some fruit and a roll from Sabor Cuencano. Later in the day, we just hung around on the boardwalk and got some ice cream, it was a relaxing afternoon.

I returned home around 3pm and I actually got to read for fun...it was a miracle. I cannot remember the last time I picked up a book to read just because I wanted to. I spent the rest of the day reading and ended up getting halfway through a 300pg book. It was so relaxing and a good way to relax before my class picks up tomorrow.
