Weather: 82 and Sunnnnny
Today (Sat, April 27th) marks the start of my last weekend in the Galápagos Islands. It’s crazy and SO bittersweet! I ended up getting up pretty early, and then went to Fresco to join Lucy while she ate her breakfast. We headed to Playa Mann shortly afterwards, and stayed for about 2 hours soaking up the sun before it got too hot to handle. We headed back to Fresco for lunch and I hung out there til about 3:30 then headed home to relax a bit before heading back to the beach for the sunset! I ended up swimming to this buoy that is pretty far out to watch the sunset with Kayelyn, Abbey, Stephanie, and Audrey. We could see all of Puerto Baquierzo Moreno and the highest points in the highlands. It was incredible and definitely worth the swim. Afterwards, I had a slice of pizza that was leftover from last night, showered, and headed down to Guiseppe's to sit with Megan, Mohammed, Micah, and Olivia while they had dinner. Afterwards, I met up with Audrey and Mackenzie to get ice cream from Calypso. They left around 9:30pm and I headed to Magnolia's to meet up with Megan and them again because there was live music and it was good! Micah and Megan have never been to the disco before so we headed there around 11 so there wouldn't be many people. We stayed for awhile and it was honestly the most fun I've had at the disco. We all danced the whole time and didn't care what all the locals thought that were sitting around the bar and sitting areas staring at us.
(Sunday 4/28) Today has been a low key day. For most of the afternoon I just hung out, read, listened to music, and organized some of my stuff to make packing easier. Around 2:30, I headed to Sabor to get some blackberry bread and to change up the scenery. I looked up some recipes I want to try when I am home. I am now determined to become a somewhat good cook when I am home. Later in the day, I went on a walk with Nicola, read my book, and talked with Jack for a bit. It was overall a very relaxing day and not much else went on.
