My diary

Today was the day I got to experience the annual Hajj. The day was hot and dry, but I was too excited to see the holiest site in Islam. The massive Mosque I traveled to was magnificent, but the Kaaba was what intrigued me more. Thousands of people had surrounded the cube which was covered by a black cloth and gold pattern. The call to prayer sounded about half an hour which I was forced to bow or I would have created a disturbance. After praying, this was repeated for another four times during the duration I was there. A huge circle of people had gathered around the cube and went around it 7 times before making way for the next group of people anxiously waiting. The Kaaba was a massive structure, but I was surprised many people tore at the cloth to eat it to bring good luck.
