Today was the day that I visited Stonehenge after reading about the structure during my vacation in England . My first reaction to the structure was the radial shape of the work as well as the rough texture of the outside henge. The work is surrounded by a moat where many holes had been dug into as if it was used as a burial site. I had to stay in the path, but I had a good impression on the heel stone as if the summer solstice was occurring as the structure seemed to revolve around it. Overall, the chilly air forced me to only stay an hour or two, so the structure is still seemingly alien to me. While Stonehenge was an impressive sight, it also seemed to reflect other circular buildings such as the capital building in D.C. Tomorrow I will have to see the rest of the area as well as the area of the living and other prehistoric works.
