My diary

Today was the day my tour group was able to see the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. The building rather beautiful on the outside, but it was the hall with Michelangelo´s works that wowed us the most. The massive paintings were of the book of Genesis as well as Jesus judging people and deciding whether they would enter heaven or hell. This was a bit unsettling to see as many gruesome images were depicted such as a terrified man being pulled down to his fate while Jesus sat there only to move on to the next person. The paintings were massive although some were hard to see due to the small size. The room was a bit chilly, but the tour was only a few minutes, so we only got a few pictures of the paintings. We left the building only to be craving the sight of the masterpieces.
