My diary

After a daunting hike up a mountain accompanied with a llama, I had finally reached the crisp peak of the mountain that bestows the elusive Machu Picchu. The cold air was frosty and dry which was a mere distraction from the sight to behold. The city was not impressive to an architect´s eyes except for one feature: the rocks perfectly fit together without mortar. As my llama grazed on the grass, I explored the Inca city. The city was said to be built by only human hands as no wheeled transportation was available to build the city. While not the largest site, It was amazing to see the remnants of a lost culture that managed to hold on to life and thrive will being thousands of feet up in one of Earth´s most unforgiving landscapes.
