Today, I went to Rome Italy to witness the massive Colosseum. The structure contains hundreds of arches as seemed to have suffered from environmental damage as half the outer structure as fallen. The city was loud and there were cats all over the place. The sky was blue while the air was warm and humid. My tour was short, but we got to see the behind the scenes such as the aqueducts as well as the animal/ gladiator cages and pens. I felt intrigued that this structure could be built by man of the ancient world. Over all, the building had symmetry when completed as well as radial balance, but this was no longer present. Tomorrow, my tour group will go to another amphitheater that trained gladiators before they arrived at the Colosseum.
