Little Paradise

On our way to Glenorchy, along the shores of Lake Wakatipu, we stumbled upon Little Paradise Lodge and Wild Dream Garden. A very unique 5 acre “Fairy Garden” exploding with hundreds of different flowers in full bloom, a collection of water features, sculptures, and a unique house like in a fairy tale. The house and its surroundings were created by its Swiss owner with great passion for the beauty of nature and life. He used natural materials from the nearby environment to express his creative ideas. We walked along the winding trails through the flower garden filled with fish ponds, numerous yoga posed statues, crossed the 45th parallel (mid-point between the equator and south pole), fed the chickens & peacocks, and even climbed to the top of a tree house. The highlight of our day, this place really deserves its name "Little Paradise". XO XO Gma & Gpa
