All Good Things Must Come to an End

We have spent the last several weeks cleaning, fixing, disposing and packing. Nutmeg has had her makeover, is ready for sale, new people and new voyages.

After flying 13 hours, we arrived in Vancouver 5 hours before we left Brisbane. Then on to Chicago and Milwaukee. WE ARE BACK! and slowly recombobulating to our new life and ready for our next great adventures. We have many great memories and look forward to many more to come!

We enjoyed…
Searching for the best craft beers.
Finding good bread, crackers, cheese, fish ‘n chips, warm olives.
The people.
Great Marinas – D’albora/Airlie Beach, Marlin Marina/Cairns, Horizon Shores, Boatworks/Gold Coast
Having to leave AU - having to go to New Caledonia & Bali.
Islands.
The southern sky.
Traveling inland to see mountains, waterfalls, rainforests, the country...
Nature … so many new birds & bird song, wallabies & roos, taz devils, koalas, dingos | Trees – Huan Pines, Kauri, Rainforests, Giant Ferns, Flowers, Orchids.
Miles of uncrowded sand beaches.
Water – Reefs – the Great Barrier Reef (tho it is not ALL great) - Snorkeling – So many amazing tropical fish, whales, dolphins – Sailing.
Sun Rises and Sunsets.
The agriculture … coconuts, sugar cane, kiwis, dragon fruit, grapes, cattle.
History.
Reading.
Nutmeg.

We missed…
Our people. Family and friends.
Celebrating Birthdays, Anniversaries, Lost Lives.
Our community. Beaver Dam. Door County. Wisconsin. The Great USA.
The 4 seasons.
Mosquitoes.
Snow.
Easy access to grabbing a pint of whole milk or chocolate milk.
Good steaks, burgers and brats.
Daily getting out and about – movement, work and exercise.

We will miss...
Constant warm weather.
The warm water – sailing, snorkeling, the tropical fish.
The birds and bird songs.
Beautiful, peaceful nights at anchor.
Nutmeg.
