He is also in the nude so he is likely a Greek athlete. The boxer seems to be looking up and he has a stern expression on his face. He appears to have a few injuries on his body showing that he has just been in a fight. This again seems to be a representation of the Roman love of violence, while they likely did not make this statue they did choose this one in particular to take from the Greeks,
