Day 79
I met Mayumi at 12:00, we headed out to the Tennoji station to switch to the tram. we where super lucky with the weather as it was bright blue and sunny. Sumiyoshi is one of the oldest temples in Japan, It is apparently watched over by a rabbit god and it has a "power spot" where you find 3 different stones and put them in a little bag as an offering. Mayumi told me a lot of new things about how the temples work, who goes there and what they do. It was very interesting but we where both hungry after visiting the shrine so it was time for Omurice!
We took a walk through the city and watched some street performers, met up with Asumi and had dinner. She took us to a local place in takatsuki and I had the best sashimi I've tried so far. We decided to meet up again the day after and see what to do!
Day 80
Today was Asumis day off so naturally, we went out to day drink and eat basashi in Umeda. Basashi is raw horse meat and to be honest, I was quite disappointed by this. I hoped that it would be delicious just to be able to go home and say that I had a bunch of raw horse in Japan but no, one time was enough. We also had Sashimi, Rice soup, pickles, kimchi, Umeboshi and a bunch of other stuff. I am going to miss this place so much when I return home, the food is the best and the people I met here are so cool. I sometimes feel like I've known them for years and its only been 3 weeks since I came to

Osaka ( I think ). I just checked into the new hostel which is strategically close to the Osaka main station, since getting a hostel bed in the middle of cherry blossom in Kyoto is hard. Kyoto is only 40 min away with train though so I'm going to go back there in a few days before leaving for Tokyo. I'm going to the common room now to see if there are some new friends to meet and have dinner with.
