Wozny Road trip 2018

There was more rain throughout the night again with some really loud and long thunder booms! We packed up in the drizzle and got on the road to Meridian. We drove parallel to the mighty Mississippi River for a brief period and then up and over it and some large barges. Through all of Arkansas and the first part of Mississippi the creeks, rivers were out of their banks and many fields, once we got into the flat lands, were flooded. There were lots of beautiful hills and trees as we drove to Darren’s. More cattle than I expected too. Lots of white and purple flowering trees and also daffodils in the ditches. Again lots of dumpy yards and abandoned homes vs absolutely gorgeous homes, such a strange combination. The campground we are staying at is in Toomsuba which is about 20minutes from Meridian. Once settled we made our way into Meridian for a nice evening with Darren and Cheryl.
